If you love ordering a cannoli in your favorite Italian restaurants, you may want to try and make them at home. This pastry goes back all the way to the early 19th century in Sicily, where it was chiefly made during carnival celebrations. It didn't really gain widespread popularity until the 1940s, when people throughout Europe began to discover it. Shortly thereafter, it became popular in the United States and a staple in Italian restaurants throughout the country.
Making cannoli takes a little bit of preparation, but you'll probably find that the work is worth it once you have a taste of the finished product. First, you'll need three cups of flour, four tablespoons of sugar, and a quarter-cup of soft butter. You'll also need two tablespoons each of vinegar and ice water, some aluminum cannoli tubes, frying oil, three cups of ricotta cheese (or whatever your preferred filling may be), and one-and-a-half cups of white sugar.
Take the sugar, butter, vinegar, and ice water and put all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer fitted with a dough attachment and set the speed to medium speed. You'll need to Occasionally stop and scrape the bowl to make sure the ice water is completely mixed in.
Once you've got the mixture to the consistency you like, you'll need to put it into a greased baking pan and bake it for about 20 minutes.
Take it out of the oven, sprinkle some salt on top, and pop it right into a 350-degree oven. Bake it for another 20 minutes, then pop it out of the oven again and sprinkle some more salt on top.
While the cannoli is baking, go ahead and put the lychee nuts in a heatproof dish. You can put them in a sandwich bag, too, which is handy if you have a dog that gets into the dish. Put the mixture in a tin, pour in the cognac, and there you have it: pop as much of the ingredients as you can into the dish, then pop it back in the oven.
 Albanian Cioppino

There are a couple of different ways to serve this, but the most common is to put the cooked popcorn on top of the potatoes and serve them with a dip.
Potatoes on the Barbeque
This is a favorite variation that involves caramelizing the potatoes with the butter for added flavor. To do this, get a small temperature probe, a green towel, and a shot of oil. Set the potatoes out on a large plate, then pour the oil over them. They'll need about 20 minutes to cook, depending on the size of the potatoes. When they're finished, simply serve them on top of the popcorn with the dipping sauce.
Chips on the Barbeque
It's a variation of the classic barbeque, in which chips are cooked on the barbeque. This is a great way to skewer a potato at a picnic, without having to use a fork. Have some chopsticks in your hand, then skewer the potato on a wooden skewer. Then, grill the potato for about 10 minutes, until the skin is crispy.
Potatoes on the Grill
Here's another trick that works well with baked potatoes. It's a fairly easy way to cook them on the grill, and the results are definitely worth it. After cleaning and slicing the potatoes, pre-heat the grill to medium heat. Then, put the leftover batter on a baking sheet and place under the grill for about 10 minutes.
Beef and Chicken Thighs
